Inventory sync & marketplace integrations troubleshooting
Use this guide to resolve common stock sync issues between our store (e.g., Shopify) and marketplaces (Amazon/eBay). Vendor-neutral steps.
Symptoms
- Oversells or out-of-stock on marketplace
- Listings not updating price or quantity
- SKU mismatch or duplicate listings
Triage checklist
- SKU mapping: Confirm 1:1 mapping for parent/child variants; normalize capitalization and dashes/underscores.
- Feed status: Check last sync timestamp and error logs.
- Location priorities: Ensure the same fulfillment location is reserved for marketplace orders.
- Reservations: Look for open carts, pending payments, and RMA holds.
Fix patterns
- Re-publish listing with correct SKU and barcode
- Force a full inventory export/import
- Consolidate duplicate SKUs; retire legacy IDs
Escalation
- File support ticket with integration vendor; attach example SKUs and logs
- Loop in Operations for bulk corrections
